Waldorf Handwork | Stuffed Animal Toy Making

This is a handwork training course for Waldorf Teachers, Handwork Teachers, Home schooler, Waldorf Parents, handwork lovers and for people who would like to experience stuffed toy making from scratch.

Base on the Waldorf Curriculum, it is a handwork for the 6th graders. At this specific stage of development, emotions play a significant role in shaping external relationships. Therefore, making animal dolls can be crucial in helping them balance their emotional state, allowing them to harness their own strength to find a sense of order in chaos.

The training will begin with understanding the characteristics of four-legged animals. Participants will connect with the essence of the animals through their movements, whether fast, slow, or still. Following this, we will proceed to drawing the animals, creating precise patterns, dyeing the fabric, cutting and sewing to complete the stuffed animal dolls.

This workshop is suitable for any BEGINNER who would like to experience the handwork curriculum in Waldorf Education. Age 12 and above are welcome to join the workshop. We will be having a maximum of 15pax for the workshop, so that each of the individuals will get proper guidance during the course.

Course syllabus:
- Understand the movement of the four-legged animals
- Draw and sketch animals
- Natural dye fabric using mud
- Draw and create own sewing template
- Learn basic sewing skills for stuffed toy

** Every participants will get to make 1 unique stuffed animal toy to bring home

Participants self prepare:

✔ Scissors for paper cutting
✔ Scissors for fabric cutting
✔ Thread scissors
✔ Sewing related tools.

• All payments made are non-refundable, exchangeable or transferable to other workshops unless the class is cancelled by Midori Studio before notification. 所有的汇款将不会退还、交换或转换去其他工作坊，除非课程取消。
• No workshop reschedule is allowed for any absence and replacement without prior notice (notify the team at least 7 working days in advance, and provide a valid reason to the team), else fee paid will be forfeited if no show-up. 不得临时缺席工作坊或改期（至少提前7个工作日通知我方，并请向我方提供正当理由）否则费用将被全额没收。
• Replacement of class to another date will only be allowed for ONE time if any emergency (including accident or illness with proof to the team). You can ask your friend to replace the slot on the same date.
